MATHEMATICS COMPETITIVE TEST 2023-2024

As a yearly feature, the All Goa Mathematics Teachers’ Association in collaboration with SCERT, GOVT OF GOA is organising Mathematics Competitive Test for the Secondary Schools.
1.     Eligibility :- The students of Std  VII ,VIII, IX  and  X
2.     Content area on which the most of the questions will be based:
Std: X


Maths portion up to Std IX and from Std X the following topics:
Real Numbers, Polynomials, Pair of linear equations in two variables, Quadratic equations ,Arithmetic Progressions,
 Triangles, Trigonometry, Circle, and Areas related to the circles, Surface areas and Volume,Coordinate Geometry.
Std: IX


Maths portion up to Std VIII and from Std IX the following topics:
Number System,Polynomials,Coordinate Geometry, Linear Equations in two variables, Lines and angles, Triangle,                                          
Quadrilaterals,Circle,Heron’s Formula, Surface areas and Volumes
Std:VIII


Maths portion up to Std VII and from Std VIII the following topics:
Rational Numbers, Linear Equations in one variable, Understanding  Quadrilaterals Data Handling ,Squares  and Square roots, , Cubes and Cube roots, Comparing Quantities, Algebraic Expressions and identities, Mensuration,Exponents and Powers
Std:VII


Maths portion up to Std VI and from Std VII the following topics:
Integers,Fractions,Simple Equations, Lines and Angles, Triangles and Properties, Congruence of Triangles, Comparing Quantities, Rational Numbers ,Perimeter and Area, Algebraic equations
3.        1. Fees:   Rs  100(Rupees One Hundred only)  for every participating student.
4.        2.  CashPrizes,Trophies and Certificates: First 20 ranks in each standard
5.    3.  Date of Test: Sunday 10th December 2023 at 10.00 am (Reporting 9.30 am)

5.  The school can select any of the above centre for the test. All their participants of VII  to  X  will be placed in that same centre.
        6.   Names of the students alongwith the demand draft drawn in favour of  All Goa Mathematics Teachers’ Association payable at Ponda should be sent to Mr. Eknath A. Naik, President-AGMTA,   C/O Sarvodaya Educational Soceity’s High School, Curchorem - Goa, 403706   and  one copy of the proforma to be sent  by email in Excel woksheet on our e-mail address   agmta.goa@gmail.com  for sending the seat numbers and result of MCT exam and further correspondence.After sending the email schools will be intimated by SMS on the cell no of the Head Of the Institution and Incharge Teacher.
     7.    Last date for receiving the entries :  10th November 2023.
       8.  The entries should be sent in duplicate in the prescribed proforma given below.

*  If the schools do not receive Seat Numbers on or before 23rd Dec 2023 ,they may contact Mr. Kaustubh  Naik, Secretary-AGMTA or Mr.Eknath A. Naik,President-AGMTA.
* Spot entries are strictly not allowed.
